I'm sure you're beautiful the way you are. The ways to get fair skin are unhealthy for both you and your skin.

Giving the most general advice I can give considering you only said you need fair skin. It's not going to happen unless you do some unhealthy stuff to your skin.

I've never heard of anyone actually wanting fair skin, usually everyone on here wants to be more tan lol.

To get fairer skin, prevention is key. Wear sunscreen every time you leave the house, even if it's cloudy or raining. Stay in the shade when you don't need to actively be in the sun.
Washing your face with rice water brightens your skin and also helps prevent tanning, along with things like lemon an papaya.
There is nothing wrong with wanting to be fairer if there is nothing wrong with wanting to be darker. End of story.
Good luck! :)

^ agree with Megan. And there's definitely nothing wrong with wanting to be more fair, I personally think it's much more classy & glamorous than tanned skin.

Erin is so right...Lamyaa I'm guessing your Indian?? I understand that people are obsessed with getting fair over there...But though there are ways to remove a suntan nothing can change your skin color dramatically to make it 'fairer' unless you want to do skin grafting or some plastic surgery...The methods Megan mentioned will surely help get rid of a suntan...Embrace your skin color the way it is fair or tan you are beautiful :)

That's so funny, my first love is Indian and we broke up because I'm white. I wanted so bad to be okay for him and his parents. It's funny to see that you are trying to be white when you are perfect the way you are. We can't force ourselves to be something we are not, especially for anyone else. Learn to love you, have confidence, and no matter what skin color you are, you will be happy.

There is a big difference between girls from other cultures wanting to be different and white girls wanting to tan, a huge difference. They have different circumstances around them completely an are not 'the same thing' and as easily chalked up to 'if one is ok then the other is ok'.

Totally agree with Erin & Nehal! I'm Filipino & they love "fair/white skin!"
I think that healthy flawless skin in any color or age is beautiful!
Embracing your skin and loving yourself is a challenge in itself:)
Besides all that!...honey/lemon, honey/turmeric DYI masks are good to try.
African black soap is awesome too!
