I've tried bleaching my remy human hair extensions as I am wanting to dip dye them to a lighter colour however the bleach till not take to my extensions yet I have had no problem dying the top half of the extensions a shade of red. Any suggestions to why the bleach will not take?

I did that with mine, but I left the bleach on there for a while cause they were black.

There might be a sealant on them or something.. you could try washing them with baby shampoo beforehand, it'll help to strip anything off them =]

Could be that the extensions are dyed black. black dye is very hard to bleach out. it would probably be better to get a lighter color set of extensions and bleach that if you want it like white.

Your Extensions have gone through a lot of processes before you purchase them to get them that colour. So sometimes they can be stubborn. I usually don't recommend bleaching extensions. but if you must, apply liberally and put under heat. and be ready to tone them.

Heat usually does that trick but its still hard. Hair bleach relies more on the eat coming off our bodies to process more than most people realize.
Also, extensions are cured. It's a lot easier to make them darker than lighter.
Coat them in a liberal amount of gentle hair lightener. Wrap them in foil or plastic wrap and set them on a hearing pad with a towel over it. Make sure they stay moist with product and warm.

I had the exact same problem. someone told me you can't really dye dark extensions to a lighter colour. I wanted to do ombre on my hair extensions. wasted money and it didn't really work :(
