Hi Susie,

The haircolor you used likely had a built in toner. Many blondes tend to go more brassy when dying their hair so a lot of boxed hair color have built in toners to prevent this.

Some things you can try:
-Go to your local beauty supply and pick up a toner with a golden undertone to it or anything that says "G"

-Dye your hair again with professional hair color (since you just dyed your hair I would recommend waiting a day or two). You can get a demi permanent color so it does not have so much ammonia in it such as the brand Satin. Hair shades are on a 1-12 range (1 being jet black and 12 being platinum). Looking at the picture you posted I would say you're around a 9 or 10. That being said, look for a 9G or 10G (G being golden which will neutralize the cool blue/gray tones).

- Wait for it to fade. Blonde hair has the natural tendency to oxidize from the environment (sun, hair products, heat tools) so the ash tones will fade over time.

Hiya Susie I'm a hairstylist, you will need to put a warm golden blonde tint on to neutralize the blue cool shades, you don't need to wait to put it on, tint isn't too harsh on the hair, but I do recommend you go to a salon, they will use the correct level of peroxide to tone your hair, its already very light so a box colour will just lift it even more and you may end up too light, I would just use a lo`real majiblonde number 9002 with a colour releaser on your hair.

You have have to lover stylist (shout out to Kimberly M.) they fix what we think we can get ourselves, unless you understand Toners, peroxide, ect go to a salon until you know how your hair will behave with certain colors.
