So I wanted to just match my roots with the rest of my hair. Got my regular Neutral Light Golden brown from Sally's. Left it on for about 15 minutes. Washed it and now my hairs black. Ugh!! I spoke to a professional and I was told to use a clarifying shampoo and let it fade naturally. That was 5 months ago. Hasn't lightened up at all.
My question is has anyone use Ion Brilliance Color Corrector? What were the results? I do NOT want to strip it unless I need too. I don't feel like bleaching my hair.

I have and frankly any color corrector or lightener is a slightly less damaging to the hair than regular bleach. Since you hair is black it will only go up to a copper orange. Depending on how light you want it, you may need to do it more than once. Either way get a deep conditioning conditioner and perhaps think of trimming your ends!

All I have to say Is do not bleach your hair!! It will destroy your hair.. Just trim your ends or get a hair cut.

I just want it light enough to get it to a light brown! So I can work with copper. Thank you ladies :)
