I've found out what it is! its an allergic reaction I tested out Revlon photo ready foundation on the cheek that morning! I've never had an allergic reaction to make up I'm just happy it was only on one cheek and not all over. thanks for all the helpful comments

Be careful hun...I feel you though I broke out after using Revlons Colorstay. I guess we should always test out foundations but we just don't want to go the extra step but we really should. be patient at this time and let your skin heal don't go putting so many products on it.(:

Also if you have only just started to look after your skin it's very normal for this to happen its the skin riding itself of any blockage

With the ice...move the bag around, so you don't burn your pores...(I sound like a broken record, I've posted this so many times...)ice water on a clean washcloth, set on area till body temp. Repete for about 15 minutes.

If its a chemical reaction, do the ice water, then ice. It will help. Any product may intensify the reaction.

Try using lemon juice and sugar! rub rub rub for about 5 to 8 minutes then rinse off.

I would try the brand Boscia, it's an all natural brand, but it works amazing for people who have frequent breakouts, or people who don't get breakouts that much,but when they do it's a lot... It's very healthy for the skin, but it has willowbark in t which is a natural form of salacylic acid, so it's non drying, and fast acting, it's also a detoxer so it will keep and maintain nice looking skin, if you some other things it can dry you out and you'll age faster, so stick e Boscia, also if you don't use a foundation primer with your foundation your also prone to breaking out just bc your clogging your pores.
