So I really don't know what one to buy from. Or which one is better. I don't know what to buy from the chosen brand. and recomenations?

Mac gives you acne that only it can cover up. that's why you see orange faces. Their eye and lip stuff is actually really good though. Nars is better for you in the long run imo. especially their blushes.

I have more Nars products than I do Mac. Nars Laguna bronzer is great as well as the blush in orgasm.

I vote nars. But Mac is a huge brand with a huge variety of products and a great pro line.

For personal use I prefer nars tho. And the only Mac foundation I care for is Mac face and body.

Nars hands down. their are very few products I use in my kit from mac. to be honest I have far more products from inglot than mac these days which are fantastic.

I agree with Jordan. Are you looking for everyday wear? Photo shoot?

NARS I go to for blushes. MAC I go for some blushes, lipsticks, glosses and some shadows. Every line has hits and misses.

How about a little of both. They both are beautiful lines.

I definitely have a huge amount if NARS, I actually only have pigments/glitter from MAC. NARS is my go to brand. Larger than Life eyeliners are awesome! Shadows, blushes, lipgloss, brushes, lipstick...NARS is a winner!

@jordan what don't you like about the Nars powder foundations (they're deff top 5 for me)?

@ Jade - regardless of anyone else's preference, you need to get what work for YOU! I would NEVER ask "which is better" because that's an impossible question to answer. Yes, we can voice opinion, but there is no definitive "better". They are both long time popular lines & they've stayed in that status because they both have great products. Try them both to see what you like! I prefer Smashbox, but I would never be so ignorant to say that it's "better". I like more of their products, but you might hate them... Good luck in your search! I really encourage you to visit both counters rather than go on what anyone else says!!

Nars is much higher quality but also more expensive.

NARS! NARS! NARS! Lol. I loooove me some NARS. But the 2 lines are apples and oranges, really. Choosing a personal preference depends on just that: your preferences and needs. I love the NARS complexion products most of all, and turn to them before all other products. MAC does make some lovely eye shadows and lip products, but their product line is very hit-and-miss for me, and their constant LE launches result in a lot of poor quality product, IMO.

Both great nars is a little bit more but I think mac has the same quality so I would go for mac

Sorry, but stating as a "fact" that one brand is better than another is ignorant. It's like saying chocolate is better than vanilla. I get where you're coming from, but I do really tire of all the "experts" on here forcing their opinions down others throats. The more I read, the more it's obvious that the majority of users that post these types of questions are young & inexperienced as well as very impressionable. I hate to think that a beauty newbie wouldn't try both brands because they get it in their head that one brand they were interested jn gets trashed on here. It's just a shame. I think the same when I see someone being badgered on the drug store vs high end product question. I say try it all & make your own choices depending upon your experience.

I like them both for different things. It's just about your personal preference
