I've tried applying eyeshadow in different ways and using different brands of eyeshadows but the pigments just look like I have no eyeshadow on.
How can I fix this should I use a spray gel on my brush before using the eyeshadow??

Use a primer it makes a huge difference also if your brushes are too soft it won't pick up the eyeshadow properly

I use Maybelline color tattoo in a light beige or pink champagne color as a base color and then apply eyeshadow and it stays a lot better.

Definitely go for Primer - Urban Decay and Benefit are two of my favorites. What have you used? I love MAC, Urban Decay, and Coastal Scents for eyeshadows. For brushes, try Sigma or Sonia Kashuk.

Try dampening your brush when applying eye shadow! its like an adhesive that'll give you an amazing metallic look too.

Yes try using a primer. Urban decay primer potion is a good or too faced shadow insurance. But a cheaper one might do as well;)

Use primer (urban decay has really good ones) and if you use your fingers, in my opinion it works better. I use brushes for blending.
