This could totally be a dumb question, but it must be asked :) I have pretty okay skin except my chin that is a little dry and my nose area that gets a little oily. When buying makeup or skincare, I don't really know what to buy. There are so many options. "Combination-oily," "combination-dry" "normal-oily," "normal-dry." Which would better suit my skin? And what's the difference between combination and normal? My skin is "normal" except those two areas on my face. It's so confusing.

Yeah it can be confusing.. I have dry patches on the outer part of my face as well and an oily t zone. I believe that is considered combination. I try to stick to more oil free foundations and more water based foundations.. Hope this helped a little :)

I would say that you have normal skin, it would really be trial and error to choose products. Personally I would go for water based foundation instead of oil based. I love L'oreal True Match foundation, it works amazing. You can buy skincare products that are specifically for "all skin types". Remember to always cleanse and moisturize your face. If you ever find you get a bit oily I would recommend applying a sheer tinted powder to your face.

I'm in school for esthetics. Based on the info you provided it seems like you have normal skin with an oily t zone. Does your forehead and cheek area tend to be dry or oily...and do you have any skin sensitivities.
