So I have larger legs and hate people seeing them so I always were jeans, but in the summer I get really hot, and capris just aren't working for me. What do you think the max size a should be for a person to wear.shorts?(not short.shorts just a bit above the.knee) and btw my legs make me look really short and heavy so thats why I don't really know if shorts would work. Tips, ideas, thoughts. Thanks.=)

Go for it! Wear shorts! If you're pear shaped (like myself) wear a flattering top to take attention away from your lower corpse. But be confident in shorts! Rock em!

Wear shorts! Why should you melt inside long jeans? Because of people? That doesn't sound like a good reason.
And use skirts as well! There are plenty of different models, and a lot of them aren't so short, if that's what bothers you, and I'm sure you'll find at least one that will fit you perfectly.

I recommend wearing a high waisted skirt if you feel self conscious about your legs. It can be good for hot weather while at the same time looking cute and on trend and covering up what you don't want everyone to see

I'm plus sized myself! I wear skirts, dresses, shorts during the summer! Wear some wedges with the skirts and dresses. Beauty isn't about your size! Wear what you want ;)
