Looking for ideas on vintage or old Hollywood inspired hair looks. But keep it simple; I'm crap at hair!

Marilyn is my idol! But I was sort of thinking something cleaner than curls...an updo of some kind? Do you think victory rolls is too much?

I think victory rolls would really fit into the theme, go for it (:

I had a French Roll hairstyle for my g6 graduation, they are ridiculously easy to do (look at tutorials on YouTube.) Or you could do a knot bun which is easy as well
Put hair in ponytail wherever you want to bun
Section ponytail off into four different sections
Grab one section, section it into two and tie (literally tie them) together and keep tying till there's no more hair left to tie. Wrap around the ponytail and pin it to your head.
Repeat with all four sections.
You can do it with two sections if your hair is long or if you want bigger 'bumps' on your bun.
You can find a video tutorial on cutegirlshairstyles.com
