I just got the Urban Decay Smoked palette in the mail and one of the colors (my favorite one of them all at that), is shattered. I saw this article ( http://www.beautylish.com/a/vcqrr/fixing-shattered-pressed-shadow ) and was wondering if any of you lovelies had tried doing this yourself, and how it affects the quality of the makeup.

When my ud naked 2 palette dropped and shattered threw shadows, I just smashed them up the ready of the way, mixed with alcohol too make a paste, and pasted it back into the pan, and let it dry over night. Its been perfect since, ice also done with my Mac bronzer.

The same happened to me with my coastal scents palette and nothing happened other than how it looks compared to the other , it will look like you fixed it. The actual shadow durability won't change

Alright, thank you ladies. I wasn't sure if the alcohol would cause the shadow to dry out and not feel or look as good and wanted to make sure. Thank you so much.

Agree with Brielle, mix it with alcohol till it becomes a paste and let it dry, it works.

So I tired this and used the eyeshadow for the first time today, personally I wouldn't recommend doing it with Urban Decay eyeshadows, the texture and vibrancy is completely different. Usually I pretty much only have to tough my brush to the eyeshadow and the brush is full, with the one I fixed I have to scrub at it. Also I am super pale so one layer of the eyeshadow is usually very vibrant on me, I had to put multiple layers on for it to be seen well. Just my opinion. This might work great with other shadows but like I said, I personally wouldn't recommend with UD. Thanks for your advice though ladies!

Massive you used to much alcohol? It can dry them out I'd you make the paste to watery, my UD shadows made it okay, sorry about yours, that stinks!

I don't know, maybe? I tried not too, just to make it a paste like said, but with it not taking much I can see it being easily overdone. Oh well, not the end of the world, can still use it, just it isn't as nice sadly.
