I use Sally Hansen's two in one top coat and base coat. It really shouldn't matter the kind though, as long as you don't use a lot of it and make sure you do thin layers of both.

I like essie good to go top coat. It dries really fast and gives your manicure a very glossy shine. I also like Out the Door top coat. It dries super fast and gives your nails a pretty good shine. Paired with a good base coat Out the door left me with an almost perfect manicure for almost 2 weeks. Essie didnt last as long but the shine was better.
