I have small pimples growing around my nose and chin area. I find that it is very painful to cover them up :( Any tips on how to get rid of them?

Maybe try ProActive acne solution. I know many people who have used it and got great results from it. :)

I recently bought clearasil rapid action spot gel and its brilliant. You put on the spots before you go to bed and by morning they will nearly gone. This is by far the best product I have used for this so I reccomend you try it. Its really cheap aswell can't rememeber exactly what I paid though.

Yeah I've tried it and it great! But another tip to make them smaller and less red, is to dab on white toothpaste on them before bed and wash off in the morning. It's pretty good but it has to be white toothpaste, not gel or any other colors! Lol :)

Also ice helps it to not swell and it makes them less painful.

In lieu of seeing a dermatologist and in addition to any OTC remedies you're currently trying, consider the following. Whether you're on meds or using OTC products, when you get a painful red flareup don't don't DON't squeeze it. Apply ice for a few minutes to decrease some of the swelling and pain, and then apply a small amount of hydrocortisone cream to decrease some of the inflammation. Please don't apply hydrocortisone all over your face and don't use it every day: it's a corticosteroid, which can thin your skin and cause further damage. It's great to apply for those acute, cystic flareups that hurt.

I use acne medication cream as a spot treatment over night when I get those and usually they'll be gone the next day. btw the cream has 10% benzoyl proxide in it so if you have dry or sensitive skin I wouldn't recommend you use it.

What Reny said. Cystic and/or hormonal acne is best remedied by visiting a dermatologist. I had cystic acne for years and thankfully a wonderful derm saved my self-esteem. I was merely suggesting that when you do have a flareup, which will still happen even after you start derm treatment. I'm essentially "cured" of cystic acne but still have the occasional blemish. Very few people will go through life without any breakouts at all.

A lot of the time acne comes from within your body... vitamins such as vitamin d (like sun shine) can help clear skin or vitamin a (which is a key ingredient in a popular drug called Accutane proven to be the most successful acne treatment) also vitamin b12 and vitimin z.. you will be amazed from your results..

You can put neosporin on them at night.
