I'm going to be honest with you as a licensed cosmetologist... Your hair isn't healthy if it doesn't hold your color. It means it is way too porous and the color simply can't stay in the hair shaft. I'd highly recommend you go to a salon and get their opinion and don't do it yourself. This is why we spend 40,000$ dollars or more for our training, to help people like you with their hair. I can tell you right now if you do it yourself it won't last and it certainly won't look like the color on the box. Trust professionals an let them help.. It's our job and our career.

Of you want to naturally lighten it a bit more I use a mixture of hone and conditioner (even parts with a little bit more honey) and a squirt of lemon juice. Wet my hair and put it in like conditioner I leave it in for about an hour and then just shower like usual. It lightens your hair only a bit depending on how often you use it

Revlon, high color. They sell it at sally and it is specifically for dark hair.
