It's terrible. it's like wanting to ban a size 12. hurtful and unnecessary. I hate when people say ''skinny bitch" or say "real women have curves". like imagine if someone was saying those kinds of things about overweight people. both ways are horrible. people come in all shapes and sizes, and people shouldn't judge anyone on their size, size zero or size 16.

Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, whether it's skinny or curvy you are all beautiful.

Does anyone remember that haynes commercial about a year ago, that had a heavier woman mocking small boobs? she was like "aa? like the battery?" and everyone thought that was okay, to openly mock a bra size. again, if the tables a were turn eds everyone would have a fit.

@Little B, I know your comment was ages ago and I basically will be completely changing the subject for anyone else but you're so right about when someone overweight takes a picture in their underwear getting praise for it. Just reminded me of a while ago when a company had used a plus size model and there were all these comments going on about how great it was. How is it great? I mean, if that's what you're happy with, fine, each to their own, but no one can deny being considerably over it underweight IS unhealthy and the last thing we should do is encourage either. I'm not saying people look bad under OR overweight, but I don't think it should be promoted so much. When do you ever see a regular sized model? You have to be either under weight or over weight and its ridiculous.

Being mean to a skinny her is just as bad as being mean to a fat girl. Fat girls will look at a skinny girl and say '' she needs to eat'' and a skinny girl will look at a fat girl an said '' eww think shes been eating enough?'' I know cause I've been really skinny and fat and now I'm a happy medium :) girls can be so cruel to themselves, but most of the time they're mean becaause there insecure. When I was fat I said that to a skinny girl, only because I wish I was sminny. Trying to band a size 0 is like trying to band a size 10 or something. Its stupid.

If people want to hate on girls, like me, who are naturally a size 0 that's not fair. I understand starting a campaign to promote health, but weight is not the equivalent of health! You would never make a comment to a girl who was on the heavy side, why is it okay for someone who is underweight?

The whole thing is messed up, I definitely disagree with it. I've been both a size 0 and everything up to a size 14 and back and forth again multiple times. I've NEVER been ridiculed for being a size 0 (I was getting down to size 0 in a completely UNhealthy way and all I got was praise for it!), but it seems like I've been made fun of for being "too fat" at anything above a size 4 or 6...! "fatter"/"curvier"/"healthier"/whatever girls get ridiculed everyday(everything is is quotes because they're, not necessarily applicable but they are terms people throw around a lot). I'm sure *if* someone posted something against larger sizes, there would be WAY more of an uproar, but people would NOT be surprised one bit. Everyone is going to hate no matter what, and its messed up! Its just (in more cases, not all) larger sizes seem to be discriminated against on a daily basis as opposed to smaller sizes less often, but NONE of it is fair and all of it is hurtful no matter what size! People should just mind their own business and accept every and any shape and size. Perhaps these people could have promoted an "eating disorder awareness" if that's what they actually meant, but "anti-size 0" is WAYYYYY out of line!

I too don't support this anti-0 campaign. I do however see what they were pushing for? Perhaps they should've aimed for an anti one-size campaign where in every show (or any aspect of modelling) they required models of all sizes... Just an idea...

I'm sorry but I am slowly seeing this whole topic turn into a "anti-curvy/anti-fat" thing. Way to go girls. Its not only about you when this topic was written, maybe you should think about you are writting when we says this. Anti-6/12/14? really? how are you being any better than the anti-0? Im hearing alot of words like "haters and fat"but,by now you should see that just about EVERY girl who claims to be plus size/curvy women don't agree with this, yet your still upset? grow up, and realize that this simply is not worth getting upset over.LETS ALL BE HEALTHY AND MOVE ON!

I think you should get over it cuz nothings going to happen anyway, just live your life and be happy! :)

I'm offended by it also and know a lot of other women who are as well. I'm also called frail and tiny a lot and it is upsetting, especially when people make jokes about me being anorexic or starving myself as if it's funny. I eat normally and I've just always been petite. The worst thing ever is seeing all the pics on the internet and stuff saying things like "real women have curves".. its the same thing as joking about eating too much mcdonalds to an overweight person.

I'm a 00-1.! I obviously I need 0s. Unless they want me to walk around pant less. 😡
Mar 14, 2013

@Amber: lol! I don't truly believe a ban would ever happen, but if it did, I could just picture a mob of pantless petites protesting. hahaha.

To be honest the worlds just a hateful place sometimes, there's always going to hate between larger people and thinner people, like it has done for as long as I can remember there'll always be alternative anti obesity/anti size zero campaigns, trust me soon as everyones forgot about the skinny thing they'll just start over with the overweight thing, it's pretty stupid really.
But to all the girls who feel offended by the anti skinny campaign, just remember that soon enough it'll be the other way round. and also that it doesn't really mean naturally skinny girls anyway, more the ones who get that way unhealthily. I do agree with Natalie that it should be an anti eating disorder campaign or w.e but I think that should apply to both ends of the table, and that the healthy people (wether naturally big or small) should be the ones sat in the middle aiding both parties to become healthy. Eating disorders are a big problem, wether that be anorexia, bulimia or obesity (not exactly an eating disorder but you know what I mean) =]

You can most defiantly be a healthy size zero :) I understand that they are trying to get rid if the idea that being super skinny is the be all end all but being offensive isn't the way to go about it! That campaign should be more aimed at people who fight each day to loose weight un-necessarily! If your naturally a size zero (8-10) it is extremely unfair that we are getting abuse for our size, but I think that this campaign didn't mean to offended people who are naturally this way, it was possibly just to scare and make people aware that being a smaller size than you naturally are isn't beautiful, being your normal self and normal size is the most attractive!

If an anti-size 0 campaign starts I will start an anti-size 12.

Really jes? Thats immature. Not everyone in the world is against a size 0. And people that are are immature and stupid. Don't be one of those people. I'm a size 10, which is close to a 12 and thats offensive towards me. Just please don't be like them. This campaign will be over in a day or too.

I think this kinds of things are just plain hurtful because it makes naturally skinny people like me feel like there is something wrong with them and it also makes a bigger deal about curvy people than it needs to.
Mar 14, 2013
Erika G.
That's kinda offensive. I'm a size 0 and 5'0. I had a baby and I'm still skinny I eat a lot and can't gain weight.

Hasn't this campaign actually been going on since 2009?? Or is it not the wonder bra model causing a fuss this time? I'm a proud size zero with curves and I don't care what people say but this is ridiculous. And for everyone who thinks that skinny people have it easier, that is just wrong. We all have always taken shit for how we look, I won't stand for anyone saying that one body type has had it harder than the other. And I'm also tired of people thinking that only really thin people have eating disorders... I agree with all the ladies on here that say we should be fighting the disorders and not some size that people seem to mistakenly link with anorexia or bulimia. I don't care what their intentions once were, they always go about it the wrong way and offend a lot of people.... It soups probably help their case if they picked a better name for what they stand for.

I don't understand why people think its ok to "ban" a size?? Are you saying that people who wear a size 0 shouldn't exist?? What would that size be changed to?? Why persecute someone for their size whether they are a healthy 0 or a 0 because of being unhealthy??
I'm not skinny- I never have been. I'm a size 8 and comfortable. There would have be HELL over someone a size 0 wanting to ban all sizes 12 and larger... Just like skin color- you are what you are and no one should persecute you for that!! If someone is a size 0 because that is the body they were born with and healthy who are you to judge that, as well as if someone has starved them-self to be a size 0 who are you to judge them! Just like a size 12 might be a healthy size for someone or they maybe considered medically obese for being that size for their frame and height!!
At the end of the day who is anyone to eliminate anything?? Just worry about yourself and be of use if you can to anyone that needs your help because they are unhealthy. Eliminating a size doesn't eliminate anything it only creates anger and false blindness that size 0 has and always will exist!!
People are so bored to think if these things!! Put goodness into the world not this!!

Rebecca W.
By the way when I mentioned I was a size 8 that's a healthy 8. I haven't always been healthy and when I wasn't I didn't try to "change" the world around me by eliminating sizes, people, things that people say, etc... You can't change the world but you can change yourself. The woman that wants to take size 0 Away is wasting time trying to make herself feel better about something within herself that is unhappy, she should use the energy and drive she is using to take a size out and use it on looking within- figure out what is making her feel that way and its not the millions of people (woman AND MEN) making her feel this way. Sadly people put hate that they feel out and concentrate it on a belief or group to get rid of some of the pain they bare. She should understand you can change a WORLD, your world, by changing and improving one person, that person is oneself.

There is a lot of miss information going on here. Danci size 0 campaign was not saying that people who are size 0 should not exist. It's about breaking down the ideals created by society. There didn't used to BSI zero it just did not exist. Now Dave may decide zero and the size the 00 when before women who work Size 0. Where size one or two. It's not about Kending but no woman to be a size 0 it's about why is it called size 0 why do women need to be 00 basically nonexistent. Paperthin. It's about the powers that be creating size 0 to make woman feel a certain way.
