Maybe you should ask your hairdresser I'm sure they will know, maybe get a perm and see if your hair takes well to it. Maybe after that it will just stay that way.

Same thing happenee to me and not my sister. I think it may be hormones too.
Also, try switching up your curl product. I found that since my hair was so thick and curly I could use more product/heavier products. Now I have to swith it up with lighter creams and using much less. Still more wavy than the curls I had before, but what can you do?

You could try a surf spray/beach waves spray like John Freida. The salt water does help to boost curls but if you use too much it can get crunchy (like some gels).
