Monistat Chafting Gel as Primer?

I just saw on Pinterest that Monistat Chafting Gel is the exact same formula as the Smashbox Photoready Primer. Is this true? Has anyone tried it? I'm wanting to try it but I'm not sure if there are any cons to putting it on my skin. Thank you(:

I havent.. I've tried milk of magnesia..but I'm also interested in the chafting cream.
