I had a massive breakout a couple weeks ago and I found drinking more water actually really helped! It's good for your hair as well.

Drink more water, although a bad diet isn't a cause like many believe it is, it's important to maintain a healthy diet. If you feel it's very bad, consult a dermatologist. I hear Proactiv and Clinique 3 step are very good although can take up to 8 weeks. If you're for topical creams, find one with benzoyl peroxide or/and Salicylic acid (Neutrogena have very good topical creams!)These kill the bacteria in your acne thus minimizing them. Use a good oil free wash and moisturize!
