I've noticed that when my face clears up I still have acne scars! It makes me mad because even when I'm not breaking out I have to wear foundation to cover them. I don't have acne scars all over my face mostly just my T zone. But that's enough for me to want them gone! Any ideas, recommendations, remedies, products?

Question: When you say "acne scars", what do they look like? Are they rough dark patches, or little holes or flattened areas of your skin? Are they darker than your skin but still feel smooth? Describe them.

They're darker than my skin but smooth and kind of reddish. It looks like the actual breakout but its just smaller and flatter and like part of my skin.

Hmmm. You probably have hyperpigmentation issues, then. Look for a vanishing cream or lotion for uneven skin marks (You can get some at Walmart, target, etc. There's a brand called "Ambi" that makes one). Or, find a better high end product with something called "hydroquinone" in it. This will help get rid if the darkness, but while using any of these products I mentioned, maker sure you stay out of the sun. They will clear up the hyperpigmentation, but if you don't protect your skin from the sun while using them, your issue will worsen and the spots will become darker.

Also, treat the products I mentioned as spot treatments; they are not all-over facial products.

By the way, I looked up reviews for Ambi. If you want something low-end, you're better off with a dark spot corrector, brightening cream, or fade cream, like from Aveeno.

This could be hyper pigmentation, try using a Vitamin E serum or moisturizer as vitamin E is known for helping scarring.
