Barbizon or Jess Anderson in FL.

Barbizon and Jess Anderson are modeling classes that cost $3,000. I used to live in florida and I was signed with two agencies without going to a "school" beforehand. Just look around. Ford,Elite, and Seven are good ones. If an agency asks for money to make you a comp card or portfolio, they're ripping you off. Portfolios are built over time and if an agency really wants you, they pay for your comp cards. Don't shell out any money for the sake of being a model, it'll be better in the long run if you wait and find an agency that actually wants you for the right reasons (and you save yourself lots of money), good luck!

Barbizon, yes

Actually yes, it is. I had a "scouting agent" for them come up to me and ask if I'd like to take classes and become a part of their agency afterwards. For an embarrassing amount of money, of course.

This is news to me. I have several friends who have modeled for them. No classes or school involved in said modeling...

I had an interview, with Elite modeling several months ago and they wanted me to attend, but also wanted a ridiculous amount of money for the school's classes... I didn't take it of course. It's a rip off!
