Try a little coconut oil on it over night. Rub/ warm in hands, massage into bottom half, braid. sleep.

Hey Jett,
I love your hair first off. Second, ask your stylist to point-cut the hair instead of using a razor comb. The razors need to be replaced pretty much after every use and if they're dull they can often times break the hair.
As for the color - use a demi permanent. It lasts about 3 months and has very low ammonia levels. I find it to actually condition my hair right after I use it.
Lastly when styling, try just teasing at only the roots and just using a little texturizing paste on the ends.
Hope that helps!
