To clean brushes, take a very gentle soap or baby shampoo, and swirl the bristles around on your palm until they are covered in soap. Rinse thorughly, do not immerse the brush head in water. Squeeze out excess moisture with a clean towel, reshape the bristles and let the brush dry by hanging it off the edge of a counter top.

Thats why I love this app, to pass on hints and tips and learn new ones. and I started using the sock airer coz my boyfriend used to give out about all my make up brushes drying on the table and it stops water running back up into the handle.
