Hold not as long and turn the heat setting lower. You could also sleep on the curler hair and then in the morning they will be more beachy waves. Hope that helped. :)

Look up 'sock curls' on YouTube! For a more subtle look like the 1st picture, try twisting portions of your hair,& while it's still twisted, straighten downwards. You could also try twisting pieces of damp hair into little buns all over your head and sleeping on them!

When you curl your hair only keep it on the iron for like 2 seconds. If it's still too curly then run your fingers or a brush through it.
