Can anyone give me any tips on how to contour? I feel like whenever I try to do it, it makes my face almost look like it has dirt on it and it looks so unnatural. Can you also tell me some specific drugstore makeup brands I could try? I don't want to spend a lot of money.

I use bronzer to contour. I use hard candy, gosh and physicians formula. They're all fairly cheap and work well plus they're cruelty free. I use hard candy stick bronzer and highlighter under my foundation and then I dust bronzer over top. Make sure you don't buy the bronzer too dark. You can use a shade or two darker of foundation instead if you don't want to use bronzer. Make sure your applying with the right brush too. You can also find contouring face charts online if you google images them and they'll guide you on where to shade and where to highlight. Other than that I can't think of much else, I hope this helps you! Good luck!

Shauna,

It really depends on your skinone. Looking at your profile picture you are quite fair so often times when you use a bronzer to contour it can look quite muddy and fake. Try Too Faced's Snow Bunny Bronzer as a contour and the Absolutely Invisible Candlelight to highlight. Here are links to both

Tools are also important so make sure your brushes have a lot of hair but are fluffy enough to blend. A mix of natural and synthetic bristles tend to make the product apply very seamlessly.

Thank you so much, yes I do have very fair skin. I think the colours I use to try and contour are just a bit too dark. I'll take a look at those products.
