Natural blondes always look somewhat 'muted' with Brown hair because it tends to go too warm and leaves your features less prominent. if you want to go dark, since you definitely look to have the cool colouring of a fair person you can't go too wrong with a cool dark blonde (the colour on the ends if you hair on the brunette pic) and perhaps get some subtle highlights to break it up if you were going to do that. I'd always maintain that you can go as dark or light as you want within you colour so long as you stick to your natural colour and every thing should be fine :)
