@alex if you wanna tone brassy orangey colors out use a blue base. Violet to tone out yellow.

OH, and what I use to get rid of the brassy tones is Clairol Shimmer Lights shampoo. Go on eBay to find the 32oz. bottle cheaper than you will get ANYWHERE. I've used it forever and now my sister --who has ombre'd hair now like yours-- uses it to keep the brassy tones out. It's like magic :D If you don't want to use something every day, buy manic panic's "virgin snow" toner. It's demi-permanent so it will fade out after a few weeks, but it's the BEST toner for a one-step application that's also conditioning. I use it too.
