So, I'm torn... I have a pretty decent job right now. Weekends off, and I do 10 hour shifts during the week.
I love makeup, skincare, anything beauty... and have loved it since I was younger but never worked in a cosmetics store.
Part of me really wants to apply to Sephora. Another part of me enjoys my current work schedule and knows that I will be working weekends again. Friends and family think I should just apply and see what happens... but what if I get offered the job and I'm still this indecisive about it!
Thoughts? Opinions? Should I just go for it...!?

Working at Sephora is not the same thing as a career in beauty. It is still a retail position and you will have to balance those aspects with the part directly related to working with and learning about beauty products. Also note that you will likely be considered for an entry level position only, so if you appreciate your current level of income you will likely be downgrading if you want Sephora to be your only form of employment.

Hey thanks! I currently have 5 years of management experience. And 10 years of customer service experience total. So I was thinking about applying for a management position. My current pay and my job now is pretty bad and no benefits lol. How long have you worked at Sephora before?

I meant current pay at my job now is pretty bad. Not the job itself lol.

The additional experience would probably be useful and you can use the expertise you gain there in other beauty related jobs, so if you're genuinely looking to get into the industry and Sephora seems like the easiest way in, by all means go for it.

You can work part time to see if you really like it.
