As I've written a lot of threads regarding spots, scars and skincare. I'm looking to get a skin peel at my beauticians shop, but I'm wondering if skin peels are any good regarding the spots or scars? And if anybody has actually ever had one and seen any differences?

I have very bad acne scars and have gotten 2 chemical peels within the last 4 months. My skin did feel amazing afterwards, but unfortunately I didn't see improvement to my scars or even hyperpigmentation. I think it may depend on which kind of peel you get though. I've gotten a TCA peel which was pretty mild, and a jessner peel which is more geared towards imroving cystic acne (which it definitely did do.) You may want to ask your beautician if she recommends a peel specifically for scars.

I have struggled with acne scars on my chin and forehead. The only product that has helped to fade them is a Vitamin A (retinol or retinoid) which helps with cell turnover. Beatuylish has a few, but I recommend the Advanced Retinoid 2% from The Ordinary because it is potent enough to really improve your skin without irritating it. And its under $10!
