I would suggest going to a doctor! that doesn't look good! that picture kind of looks like the sores my friend gets from mouth herpes, but I could totally be wrong! maybe put some Neosporin on it!

That's the thing.. I'm not sexually active nor have I ever been. I haven't kissed anyone at all in the past forever.. that's why I'm so confused ):

I would still suggest going to the doctor. I have no idea what it would be but the doctor will be able to help

That is fever blisters. they are a form of herpes and the virus will always be inside of you. always keep lipstick or gloss to prevent them. they mainly surface when lips are dry or exposed to sun.

Could I have gotten it from being sick then?

You don't need to kiss people to contract that form of herpes; the
majority of the adult population has it, but flare ups tend to be infrequent.

Best to see the doctor anyway if possible to get the best diagnosis.

Yes, I have gotten them when I have been sick. you could do a laxative because that helps and if a doctor will prescribe you zoverix, take these when you feel lips itching and they won't blister up.

The article explains everything in specifics, but you should speak with a Parent or caregiver if you are a minor and ask them take you to the doctor. If not, I'd make an appointment with my Dr. myself so they can examine it.

I think they are too often dismissed because is it so common. But you don't want to pass it along and you'll get medication or information on how to help reduce breakouts in the future from your Physician. Hopefully the great advice the forum has shared some insight. Again, Abreva will help shorten the healing time...and you want to keep it clean..avoid sharing certain items, etc. I hope you feel better very soon.

Thank you everyone my mother is a medical assistant and she answered my questions and asked the discutir she works with and he confirmed that it's a fever blister/cold sore.

Definitely cold sore blister/mouth herpes! You can get it without kissing or anything, sometimes it's even a genetic thing that's passed down. It's not bad, its like having the virus for chicken pox in you, it's not actively hurting you. There are patches you can buy that stick on clear and make the area flat and easy to cover up with makeup, and they medicate the inflammation to heal the sore, its best to just let it heal but I know it's not something that aids in confidence so the patches are great for that.

Its a cold sore hun! You can use the vanilla extract method or rub it down with hydrogen peroxide and you definitely want to toss your tooth brush and buy a new one!
