To me it seems dangerous to use hairspray on your face. All of those toxic, flammable chemicals doesn't make it seem like an idea I'd recommend.

Don't use hairspray on your face!! Like the other commenter said, it's not a good idea; hairspray is meant for your hair, not your face, which is much more sensitive. What about your setting spray (s) don't you like? Maybe we can help you find one that will work better for you.

Also, if memory serves, you are pregnant, right? I'd be careful in general of the things I'd be inhaling etc

Don't use hairspray, it's toxic and very likely to clog your pores.
I recently star using the Wet n Wild photofocus Setting Spray and it definitely helps my makeup last longer. Maybe you can give it a shot :)

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. My very best to you, NiK.
Have you tried a water-resistant 'seal' for your face?
Ben Nye Final Seal is something you may want to look into, if you haven't already. You can buy a trial size for $8, but they have larger sizes and lots of reviews, including from Pros.
I have a small bottle for when it's unbearably humid and I have a special occasion. It's incredibly perspiration/water resistant. Not something I would ever personally use daily as it's primarily alcohol (and has a bit of fragrance added), but the Ben Nye does work to seal and fix things in place...and is formulated for use on the skin, unlike hairspray. (If you run dry, this isn't something I'd use daily.)

Using hairspray is an ancient drag queen trick. It absolutely works, but it's not the best thing for you.

I used to do this before I new much about makeup because I seen my nan do it haha. it works OK but it used to break my forehead out. and I never get spots. so since realising this when I was younger I stopped putting it in my hair also. clear skin now lol x
