What age to start having fun with makeup?

When a younger (I mean under sixteen) girl here asks for makeup advice, all she receives is a barrage of "look natural" "you already have flawless skin" "just mascara and lipgloss, honey" etc. What age can girls start having fun with makeup? As long as a woman (of any age) is capable of properly applying makeup, I don't see a reason to restrain them from the appeal of purple eyeshadow and red lips. I'm fifteen and love switching up my look at school - from no makeup to subtle but shimmery shadows, to teal eyes then scarlet lips the next day. What's your take?

I think, I started having fun with make up just about that period, like 15-16. I don't recall anyone having problems with that. Personally, I don't really see any problem, it's just make up, just fun.

I'm around your age too and I don't see a problem with it, I go really out there some days but will also not wear any the next, just depends on my mood, go for whatever look you want and you shouldn't have to get gratification from us to do it:) haters gon hate but how you feel about yourself is what matters:) and I personally think that when we are in high school this is when we're supposed to play around with this stuff because we're figuring out what our own look:)

I'm 11 and have a decent amount of makeup. I agree with Aga H. though. I am to young to have makeup. 15-16 is a good age.

I don't mean starting to wear makeup, I mean when to break out the color (properly)! No offense, but when I see you two girls' collections nothing pops out! Do you tell me you keep your makeup neutral all the time? Where's the variation? Where's the FUN?!?
