My teenage daughter wants to lighten her hair tips for the first time. what products should I get?

How red is she wanting to go? The easiest way is Loreal hi lights for dark hair. But it sticks really well so if she doesn't like it she'll have to go quite dark to cover it up. It goes red really quickly on brown hair though. It's what I used when I first dyed my hair. If she just wants a red tint, you can just dye her hair with manic panic or the like, and it'll shine red and in the sun it'll be bright, depending on the darkness of her hair this can result in just a light tint or a very mahogany type color or bright ass red if her hair is a lighter brown lol.

I agree with using Manic Panic. it's nice to see if she likes the colour first by using a temporary dye that won't damage the hair. Red is extremely hard to maintain and washes out almost instantly and can leave a brassy look. I know from experience lol. this was my result when I used Manic Panic. I left it on for a quite a while and it gave me a nice vibrant red that slowly washed out after a few days. For permanent hair dye I really like Olia hair colour.
