This might be a stupid question but...What is the difference between an ombre and a bayalage?

Hailey thank you so much! I have black hair right now and I'm going to dye it back to my natural color(light/medium brown) but I want to do an ombre maybe a honey color so I don't have to worry about having to keep dying my roots.
