I had an account on Beautylish for a couple of years but couldn't access my account after not logging on for a few months so I just started over. I don't wear a ton of makeup yet at the end of the day after washing my face I still have residual makeup left. I am referring to foundation and blush not eye makeup by the way.I use CeraVe most nights and exfoliate once or twice a week. I think a toner would remove all the makeup on my skin but am afraid it will be too drying-especially with winter coming. How can I thoroughly wash my face without drying it out?

I use the neutrogena light oil to take my makeup off, then their hydrating face wash. Works like a charm!

I don't use a makeup remover first. I thought that was really only for heavy makeup and eye makeup. I will try coconut oil because I have done around. Thank you ladies!

Use a cleansing oil! Mine is from a Korean brand but you could also use coconut oil or purchase one from Sephora/Ulta. Also, splash your face while you are washing several times. Have you tried a cream by Jergen's or Pond's? It's marketed as a multi-use cream but so many women online have raved about it's abilities to remove makeup. Good luck! <3.

Using something to "pre cleanse" isn't a bad idea regardless of if you're wearing makeup or not. A micellar water, cleansing oil, or whatever. Sometimes however your cleanser just might not be cut out for the job. Are you currently using the CeraVe cleanser or were you referring to their moisturizer?

I am using the CeraVe cleanser. I tried and liked a micellar water over a year ago but I didn't like how much I needed to remove all my makeup. I could see using it again as a ore cleanser however.
Last night I massaged coconut oil over face and then used CeraVe to remove. I think it was better than CeraVe alone! I am not a fan of oil cleansing, ( which is not what any of you suggested), because of the hot water. I don't have sensitive skin but it just doesn't seem like a great idea for my skin.

I use the makeup eraser cloth followed by the hydrating cleanser with clarisonic. the makeup eraser removes all of my makeup with just water. you can purchase from amazon or sephora. it's worth the $20!

You don't need to use hot water to use oil as a pre cleanse. Warm water will suffice to avoid damaging your skin.
If I'm wearing makeup for a special occasion I will use coconut oil as a remover rather than any other method of precleanse because it does an excellent job of emulsifying everything so that I can properly cleanse.
