What eyeshadow looks work on small eyelids, I have a low crease and anything I do looks like I've been punched in the face.

Use lighter colors for a clean look and there are some videos on YouTube that have makeup tutorials for "hooded" eyes.

I don't know if this will help much. But instead of putting a dark color in your crease put it above it. And a lighter color on the lid. It help. Extends the eye. It helps me because my lids have a deep crease

You can also extend your eyeshadow over the lid to make them look bigger.

anyway, you want a medium shade to put in your crease and a little on your brow bone. and by crease I mean your actual crease not the crease that's right above your fold I'm talking right under your brow bone.
then, go in with your darkest shade (I used a brown) and basically just use it to add depth within the crease. follow that crease color but the darker shade should be in the center of the crease shade if that makes sense. I wish I had a better camera to show you.

I have small eyelids and usually matte shadows are the shadows that make my eyes stand out more.

I have hooded eyelids. A makeup artist gave me some advice I really like. Instead of using a crease color right in your crease - like when you close your eye half-way and put the darker color where your eyeball and the bone meet - she told me to put my crease color on with my eyes open which gives the illusion of my having a higher crease and wider lid. Does that make sense? (Having a hard time describing!). Then I use a light color on my lid to enhance the size of the lid itself. Remember, dark recedes, light enhances.
