What does a non-certified/non licensed makeup artist charge?

Hi!

I am not licensed or certified and have been doing makeup for friends and family for special occasions for years. I was recently asked if someone could hire me to do makeup for the bride and a couple of bridesmaids. What should I charge? I can only find estimates for professionals, and I wouldn't feel right charging the same since I am self taught and not licensed or certified. Are there any other self taught MUAs that charge for freelance?

I charge $17 without lashes and $23 with lashes. Or if people bring their own lashes for me to put on I charge $18.

Depending where you are, legally as a non-licensed MUA you can't actually charge anyone. I know here in Florida you can't accept any sort of payment if you aren't licensed.

Hailey P. I won't be "required" to stay since I will be a guest, but so will do a touch up for pictures/reception after the ceremony.
