I really like the Quick Fix charcoal mask and the Quick Fix vitamin C miracle mask. I find drinking loads of water really helps too, I aim for 3L a day.

Alpha skincares rejuvenating serum is 14% Glycolic acid and is very gentle on the skin. I noticed a difference in texture and less redness in a couple months. I had red patches that never went away. You can get that at Ulta for about $16 or online. You'll see two different packaging labels but they are the same product. They just did a bottle change. I also use Body Merrys vitamin c super 6 serum that has 22% vitamin c and some other goodies that are great for anyone's skin. It's about the same price and you can get it on their site or Amazon. I always price shop to see where it's cheaper at the moment. I also love CeraVe products in general. My face and body are so happy and non irritated now that I use the hydrating wash. All the things I mentioned can easily out preform most expensive or high end products of the same type.

Rozberry is super helpful and some of what I use are per her recommendation. If you search key words in the forum you'll find her advice from the past that will help you find more information. Also, Paula's choice website and then go to the beautypedia section to search products. She will give an unbiased review based on ingredients. She knows her stuff and is trusted by many beauty EXPERTS (not just 'gurus')

What do you currently use on your face?

Just cetephil Facial wash and when I have a break out I use a clean and clear cleanser and sometimes an astringent from clean and clear to get rid of oil and any left over dirt or makeup, I'm looking for anything that will improve the appearance of my face.

An exfoliant and sunscreen are a must in my opinion. Sun damage is the leading cause of aging, including wrinkles/discoloration, so protecting against it while exfoliating your skin in a way that encourages regeneration is key to preventing and repairing the problems associated with it.

If you are acne prone I highly recommend the salicylic acid products from Paula's Choice.

For sunscreen it's a matter of preference, but make sure the label says it has "broad spectrum protection" and at least SPF 30 or around that for daily use.

Once you've settled on a routine with those two types of product that works for you, you can supplement with additional antioxidant/skin repairing products, such as a dedicated vitamin C serum/booster. Making sure you have the basic necessities down first is more important though in my opinion.

What do you think I need looking at the pictures of my face.

Most of what I'm seeing seems to be discoloration, and it isn't terrible. It's likely from unprotected sun exposure due to the pigmentation, and you can definitely improve it by upping your skincare game. Vitamin C/Niacinimide products in combination with the exfoliants/sunblock I mentioned will definitely help, but you could also look into a prescription of hydroquinone to add on top of that.

Can you recommend me some

Paula's Choice has the best BHA exfoliants on the market, which is what you should be looking at if you're acne prone. If you don't really have much acne to worry about you can go for an AHA exfoliant. Paula's Choice makes some of those as well, but you can find some in Alpha Skincare, and Olay has an overnight peel as well which is technically an AHA exfoliant. I think PC has the best range because they cater to a variety of skin types with many formulas.

For sunscreen it's hard again to go wrong with Paula's Choice, but I've seen good formulas from Olay, Topix/Replenix, CeraVe's AM Lotion (their zinc oxide formulas contain a preservative I don't like on the skin for leave on formulas). These sunscreens tend to have antioxidants/other beneficial ingredients as well as sun protection, but if you're looking for just basic, effective SPF at a great price you can alternatively look at something like Banana Boat Kids SPF 50 Sunscreen Lotion, which is a Zinc Oxide/Titanium dioxide with a slightly thicker formula that's water resistant. Neutrogena also makes a Pure and Free Liquid that you can usually find online and is better for oily skin than the Banana Boat one.

For antioxidants to boost your routine, again I can't recommend Paula's Choice enough, but I do currently use Olay's Regenerist Serum, which makes a great base for sunscreen/makeup and is a good entry level Niacinimide product if you're unsure how your skin will react to that ingredient. I use it not only for the benefits but also for its texture which mixes really well with most other products I use to enhance my routine.

There are some brands you can find primarily on Amazon that do Vitamin C boosters; the two affordable options I've heard good things about include Timeless Skincare and Complete Skin Solutions. I've yet to actually try those myself but nothing leads me to think they're badly formulated; just keep their bottles away from direct light, preferably in a drawer or cabinet.

Remember that no matter how you go about your skincare routine, your sunscreen must be last before your makeup, and it should preferably be SPF 30 or very close to it. Do not mix non-spf products with your sunscreen or you risk messing with its protection, and no good skincare routine should lack an effective barrier from the sun.
