Really, the only way to achieve style without heat is to set your hair in rollers and sleep on them, pin curls or fingerwaves. A local beauty school would be the best for pin curls and finger waves (depending on your state) styling, as these are operations required for state board examinations. Not to mention beauty schools are much cheaper than a salon. It is hard to suggest a style or styles without knowing what kind of hair you have (length, texture, thickness)
