So long as your nail salon is well ventilated you can have acrylics while pregnant. The fumes can otherwise make you feel sick but to answer your question I have just taken mine off for a break and essie is very good. painted them Sunday and still no chips.

Congratulations on the forthcoming bubba! You can buy nail strengthening polishes, I believe Sally Hansen does one, and rub oil into your nails and cuticles to condition them, I like almond oil but olive oil works really nicely too. There's treatments you can do as well with a thick layer of handcream, put on cotton gloves and leave for a few hours or overnight, I find this really helps with strengthening my nails.

Gemma, I don't think it's the fumes that are a concern so much as the introduction of bacteria into small cuts/abrasions that you may not be able to see. I would stay away from the nail salon while pregnant.

I believe Zoya nail Polish is natural and non-toxic so it would be safe to you. many nail salons carry this brand :)

Essie and Sally Hansen are both great nail polish brands! ♡
