Could anyone recommend a good eye cream? My skin is so dry near my inner eye to the point it flakes. I have literally tried everything. My eyeshadow looks terrible even with a primer. I haven't tried anything new, so I don't think its an allergic reaction. Thoughts? Or eye cream reccomendations?

I have this too, I love 100% organic unrefined shea butter, I use a brand called Naissance which I get from Amazon. It works so well on my dry skin, my skin is identical at this time of year and it works beautifully. I put a fairly thick layer on at night and it's a beautiful moisturising treatment.
I also like using Rosehip seed oil, which I use during the day and at night. I use a brand called The Aromatherapy Shop from Amazon, it's cold pressed and unrefined so it's really good for the skin. I'm addicted to oils and more natural products at the moment, I have very sensitive skin at the moment and they've both worked very well for me.

Thank you so much! I tried rose hip with little success. I believe it was cold pressed and unrefined, but will definitely double check. appreciate your response!

I love my rosehip oil, rosehip seed oil is slightly different in that it's thicker but I love them both. The shea butter is incredible, my face was so flaky and my eyeshadow would literally peel off, now my skin is so much better.

I like the Shikai borage seed oil facial treatment. It's a thin feeling lotion but it's surprisingly hydrating.

Like Hannah K I love shea butter, it is one of the ingredients in my Monsia intense night repair cream but during the winter months I add a few drops of vit E oil mainly to my neck, forehead and especially around my eyes. This seems to keep my skin hydrated right through the night. It might help with your eye area. It absorbs really quickly and I have not found it to be greasy because I apply a little, wait until it is absorbed then apply a little more if necessary.

Vaseline or petroleum jelly.

I was going to suggest a beauty oil, but everyone has already recommended that. Honestly, I have patches of very dry skin and have recently added several products from First Aid Beauty to my Skincare regimen. I find they are wonderful for dry skin and other tough skin issues. Their Ultra Repair Cream is great, and I apply that at night. It probably wouldn't work well under makeup, but they have other products that do. Their Ultra Repair Lotion is a thinner version of the cream and also works well. I use their serum also. After using dozens of different "eye creams," I finally gave up on products targted only for the eyes, and my skin/eye area is doing much better. Feel free to check out my blog for a complete list of products I use at night, all of which helps my dry skin areas. mybeautifulflaws.com.

I have used first aid for my skin. I definitely love the ultra repair cream and use it under make up. I tried using this on my eyes also, but no such luck. thanks for the recommendation!
