I'm 17 and after YEARS of prescriptions and millions of skin regimens, I've finally gotten my acne to a manageable state. (birth control was actually the biggest help lol) I'm currently not using anything prescription strength, and am in love with my Murad products. However, not matter what I do or try, my face is insanely oily! It's to the point that when I wear makeup (I own and use almost every smash box product out there) it takes two hours before it looks like I tried applying a tinted coconut oil instead of foundation. It's even like that when I'm not wearing makeup too.. Unlike my acne, I've been unable to find a solution for my overly oily skin and believe me it feels like I've tried everything! I've tried moisturizing products and products meant to kind of dry you out, nothing works. Someone else who's struggled with this, please help!!

What's your current skincare routine and what products are you using?

Leuca S.
Assuming your skincare routine is at least mostly devoid of irritants, and that your skin is hydrated, your skin's sebum production is going to be determined by hormones.

You could actually be dehydrated. Sometimes dehydrated skin produces more sebum to make up for the dehydration. Look into it and talk to your doc about the possibility.

Maybe try blotting papers.
