How do you style permed hair?

I got a perm like 2 weeks ago. My hair is board straight before I got it. I would curl it and could play with it. Now that I have the perm I can't play with it only cause I don't want to keep damaging it. Now the only thing I do is just scrunch it! (Which with my straight hair that wasn't possible) But my point is can I do something else like stlyling it other than scrunching it?
