Do you have another picture of your hair in natural lighting? Your hair would take the colour but it wouldn't be nearly as vibrant as the top colour, more like a dark purple/maroon colour. Another thing I could suggest is buying a veggie dye like manic panic or directions and using it on top of a permanent dye to make the colour more prominent. I'd personally lightly bleach your hair though with the lowest peroxide available for like 10/20 minutes as you wouldn't need to lighten your hair very much, it's just that going slightly lighter would work better for what you're wanting then to just go in with a dye.

If you let your hair get bleached with the hairdressers using olaplex, there is no damage whatsoever. :)

I'd suggest using a brand like loreal hilights. It's a dye for dark hair that lightens your hair without as much damage as bleach, while putting color in. I used to use it to dye my hair red all the time, but if you plan on changing your hair color anytime I'd suggest bleach and veggie dye as the Loreal hilights won't come out without bleaching it out.
Also, bleach as long as it's done properly, does not do heaps of damage to the hair. If done correctly and in steps if needed it'll be dryer but nothing a mask a week couldn't fix. I bleach my hair all the time, and though I don't suggest bleaching as much as I do mine, my hair is in better condition than most people's unbleached hair.
Please don't use sun in. It's incredibly damaging, more so than bleach, and if you have any red toned in your hair it'll turn orange and will be almost impossible to cover, resulting in a needed bleaching or a cover up with black hair dye. It's not worth it at all. In middle school I used sun in all the time, and honestly one spray of sun in vs the bi monthly bleaching I get now, my hair is in better condition now than with sparing use of sun in.

You don't need to bleach your hair for that colour especially with your shade of brown hair color:)
You can try a streak of hair without bleaching and see how you like it indoors and outdoor in the sunlight. If you want it brighter you can always bleacj but you can never unbleach haha:) Have fun!!
