I don't know what to try to help my hair not look so dry. I used to straighten it a lot and my hair got worse when I got purple highlights. Also any product I use can't have alcohol in it because of the highlights. I don't know what I can do to make it healthier and less dry. Any tips?

Use a preheating spray, try to stay away from heat sources but if you can't contain it then use it, also start trying to use good products in your hair (hydrating masks, good quality shampoo and conditioner and even styling products!) hope I helped

Coconut oil. I use Cantu Shea Butter Coconut Curling Cream. A little bit goes a long way and it's not expensive. There's some that you can use as a shampoo and conditioner or others that you can leave in. Also good for styling :) I use heat on my hair pretty much every morning so I try to stay away from hairdryers. Getting an earlier shower to let you hair dry or towel dry your hair by squeezing not rubbing. Rubbing can be damaging and split hair.
