I recently did the big chop and while I have more hair than a lot of newly natural women it still isn't quite long enough to put in a easy pony tail (mainly because it's too thick) but I'm getting tired of just having it out in a poof , does anyone have any suggestions? I'm not really sure of my hair type. my hair is pictured below.

You could pin the two sides back if that makes sense. That was my favorite hairstyle when my hair was that length, especially with a braid/twist out. Or do a braid across the front as a headband. There's lots of styles on YouTube as well!

If you're looking for protective styles two French braids with kenekalon (sp?) hair are cute too.

I apologize if this isn't what you were looking for! I don't know an incredible amount about natural hair so I tried! I I know these are for slightly longer hair but I'm sure you could pull off their shorter forms! Xx
