Hair Cut and Colour Ideas?

I have a hair appointment in a few days and I have no idea what I would like to do. I know I want my hair cut because it's dry and damaged but I don't want something crazy short. I also would like my hair coloured but I have no clue what colour. Suggestions please?

Short hair scares me so much I've always had longer hair...I do love the colour though

The second look Charli suggested would look so gorgeous on you!! I cut off all my hair and I may be one of the few who LOVES the change! But that's just me personally, short hair is awesome in so many ways :)
