Well first of all. I don't mean to pry, but how old are you? And what kind of studio? Just some in town studio? Because who cares if its a studio? They have no say in it. If you were going to a serious college or in a company that's different. From experience, college is still no big deal, it when you start trying out for companies that it changes. Once you have pictures done and submit them and audition, they expect you to look exactly like that. Studios have no say in your hair.

Lol then you have nothing to worry about. Been there done that. Seriously, go for it. If they come up to you and have a problem, you can always change it back and no harm done. But you seriously have absolutely nothing to worry about!

Depends how serious the studio is and if it's a hobby or professional

If you are at a serious dance studio or preparing for a competition or professional career, audition, gig, etc. then I recommend staying in the natural color range of blonde, brunette, auburn. If it is the park district- go crazy and create a rainbow mohawk.

And your studio matters- especially reputable ones with accomplished alumni and instructors. Recommendations and connections are very important.

I did ballet professionally and although we weren't told we couldnt we all knew better. our teacher always said if your going to dye it you need to maintain it couldnt have us looking sloppy. all we could wear for makeup in class was light eyeshadow mascara and lipgloss

I've been dancing my whole life and going into the professional level, I dye my hair frequently, but, you don't want something too dramatic and it needs to be maintainable but in my studio we weren't allowed makeup, only foundation

They said they had no rules on hair dye!
