Hello ladies! So here's the thing. I normally have oily skin. But sometimes it gets really dry, like so much I can feel my skin tightening and 'cracking' when I make a facial expression. Now, its been a while since it happened but the last time was 4 days ago. Now I am not very proud about what I am about to say but I need explanations! I stayed in, 4 days playing videogames and this entire time all I did was this: wake up, play, drink tea, play, play, eat, drink lots of tea, play, play, drink tea, go to sleep. Repeat. What I mean is I did not apply any makeup for 4 days (which I have done much more than that) and here is the embarrassing part (have mercy on me!) I did not cleansed my face all this time.
But I was drinking so much tea which is water and still my skin got SO dry and just today it got back to normal, almost. But what I don't understand is, how, despite drinking loads of tea, my skin got so dry. Was it because I did not moisturize? Not cleansing? I don't get it, shouldnt it become much more oily?
My skin is so weird, I am too sometimes...
Thank you for reading and sorry for my bad english!

Tea is a diuretic. Unless it was herbal tea then it had caffeine in it as well. Diuretics can dehydrate you and even your skin. Too much tea may have been why I got stretch marks on my hips and knees. I didn't grow fast nor did I gain any weight they just started appearing but around that time I was drinking A LOT of tea.
Stretch marks can be due to dehydrated skin and it tears from the middle layer of the skin.
That would be why your face for dehydrated, too much tea. Especially if you sweeten it.
Drink more plain water, moisturize everyday and keep your skin hydrated

I agree. certain teas can be very healthy for your skin and health and certain ones can dehydrate you. definitely try to make an effort to be on a strict skincare routine where you cleanse, tone and moisturize. your diet also plays a huge role in how healthy your skin is. also drinking lots of water everyday will help keep you hydrated and help with your skin.
