Hi beauties! Hope you can help me with this, my skin is changing. I used to have very oily skin so I used products according to it and they worked great. About a year ago my skin started to change, as I am 26 I think I started leaving my young uncontrolavle oily skin for a more normal skin type, but I still have some break outs. To wash my face I use the Cleanance gel by Aveene, it is soft and kind of controls my acne, but I feel I have to start using a good moisturizer because my skin sometimes looks a little dry, specially in the cheeks and lids. As my skin type is in something like a transition I do not want a heavy moisturizer that makes my oily areas more oily, I'm thinking of something rich yet lightweigh. I'm also interested in keeping my looking good to avoid looking prematurely old in the future. Any suggestion?

If you want something lightweight yet hydrating I'd highly suggest the cerave face lotion with SPF. It's quite effective and doesn't feel heavy at all but it definitely feels hydrated.
As far as to avoid looking prematurely old, sunscreen everyday of the year helps prevent that.
Another thing, you could try adding in a retinol serum which is quite nice.
I like the one from Sally's I think the brand is actually called "Retinal" or "Retinol" it's basically a line which has a bunch of products that all have retinol.
Their serum is about $10 and you only need like 3 drops for your whole face since it's a serum and spreads easily and it'll last a good amount of time

If you don't mind me asking, what products did you use for your oily skin?

Cetaphil acne moisturizer is really good. I love the Aveeno moisturizers and the Yes to Tomatoes acne one is really good too.

Dyanna I used the cleanance gel by aveene, as toner apple cider vinegar with witch hazel "tea" and the cleanance expert emulsion.

Clinique Moisture Surge EXTENDED Thirst Relief is a gel/cream hydrating moisterizer that is specifically for dehydrated skin. Naturally dry skin lacks oil, but dehydrated skin lacks water. It is cooling, light and absorbs into the skin leaving it truly hydrated. Neutrogena makes a version of this which I think is called Hydro Boost. Although I've heard that the Clinique one is better.

Thank you Marleen I'll see if I can find it here in Mexico, we have Clinique so I think it will be possible.

I've been using Murad Essential C day moisturizer for 3 years now. It's expensive, but I find it on eBay for half price. You only need 2 pea sized drops. It GLIDES on. I've tried the cerave day moisture and hated it because you have to use a lot first off, and second, it really tugs at your skin when you apply. Even my BF is hooked now and doesn't want to use anything else.

Thank you Madison! If there are ladies who second Clinique it must be good!
Oh Jocelyn! it sounds nice too although I'm not sure if I can find Murad in Mexico but I'll try, thank you.
