My nails are chipping one day after applying. I use a gel top coat.
I figured I need a base coat. I want something that stays on, price isn't important.
What do you recommend?
thanks

I'm using Sally hansen hard as nails as a base coat. It is a nail strengthener but works really well and actually makes my nails less prone to breaking. I really find that the top coat makes the biggest difference though, maybe you should try one specifically aimed to stop chipping.

I have the Sally Hansen Miracle Cure. Honestly it was all but a miracle. I could try with it to see if it makes any difference?

I never had good luck with dior polishes, they always chip - So maybe you should try a new top coat :) I have never used a better top coat then Seche vite, it keeps mt nails sooo shiney and makes my polish last 5-7 days!
As for base coat I use the Essie protine treatment which really have made my nails stronger and helped to stop peeling :)

Well I got it from my mother in law, she bought a huge refill bottle in the states - we have the normal sized bottles in our national beauty supply store - so depending on where you live you can try and google it to see where and if it is sold in your country.
I belive its also sold on Beautybay which is a uk site shipping to all of europe

As said I use the Essie protein base coat.

Hmm, so better the essie then, it's easier than the seche vite to get my hands on.

As for Seche vite that was a top coat I was talking about, the Essie quick dry top coat is not as good as Seche vote - I haven't tried toa base coat from Seche because I love my Essie protein base coat!

I use the Seche vite base coat and I buy it at Sally beauty supply. I don't know where else it's available tbh.

Thank you so much girls, hopefully this will revolution my nail situation because when it chips after one day, I don't want to spend any time on them!
